Ukraine and Canada Sign Free Trade Agreement

Ukraine and Canada signed a Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA), Ukraine Economy Ministry tweeted. It was initialed last year.

President Poroshenko stated that it would come into effect immediately, however, the implementation will take up to seven years.

The Agreement will ease market access and make the trade regime clearer, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau highlighted: "All trade barriers will be gradually eliminated. The FTA will create new opportunities in terms of new jobs, new markets and economic growth in both countries," Trudeau summarized.
