Direct speech: "They let 160 private cars through just for show. The cars have now arrived in Berdiansk, but that doesn’t mean anything because there are 300,000 people there, and 160 cars means a maximum of 600-700 people."

"We have large trucks and 24 buses. We demand that our vehicles be allowed to go in a convoy, as was done in the Sumy and Kyiv regions.

That is our unconditional demand; we will not talk about any other issues until they unblock Mariupol."

Details: The Minister pointed out that cargo and buses for Mariupol residents have been waiting in Berdiansk for two days now.

Direct speech: "They are not allowed through; no humanitarian aid is arriving. Russia is again cynically lying about opening the corridor."

Background: Petro Andryushchenko, Adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol, previously announced that a humanitarian corridor from the city would be opening up.

A humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Mariupol. Russian troops are holding the entire city captive and are not allowing humanitarian aid in or evacuation out.

Mariupol City Council has announced that 2,187 people have been killed in Russian airstrikes on Mariupol.
