Russians want to blockade Mariupol while they are losing helicopters near Kherson - General Staff Regional Summary

The most difficult situation is in the Mariupol area, where the Russians are trying to blockade the city on the western and eastern outskirts on the 20th day of the Russian invasion.

Details: The aggressor was stopped near Mykolaiv.

Russians focused their efforts on maintaining the occupied frontiers and improving the engineering equipment of their positions in the Southern Buh area. They haven’t abandoned the plan to continue the offensive in the direction of Kryvyi Rih.

The aggressor lost seven combat helicopters near Chornobaivka (a village in Kherson oblast).

The aggressors' positions haven’t changed near Volyn. They are fortifying the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. In particular, they are relocating units of the 120th Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade (MINSK) of the North-Western Operational Command of Belarusian Armed Forces to the areas bordering Ukraine.

There were no active Russian offensives near Polissya. Having suffered losses, the aggressors chaotically lay mines in violation of international humanitarian law.

The aggressors were focused on reconnaissance in the Siverskyy direction. Their troops are facing problems with ammunition.

The aggressors attempted to block access to Sumy from the south and blockade Izyum, but failed (Slobozhanshchyna direction). 

Russians were unable to advance in the direction of the settlements of Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk (Donetsk direction). They suffered significant losses and withdrew. The aggressors were trying to hold the position near Popasna. They have also failed near Avdiivka.
