Russia claims 2.5 million Ukrainians want to evacuate to its territory. No proof in sight

The Chief of the National Defence Management Centre  Mikhail Mizintsev claims in a statement that 2.5 million Ukrainians have "requested to be evacuated to Russia." He did not provide any proof.

Details: According to the Russian official, the Russian side allegedly has a database containing 2.5 million appeals from "specific citizens of Ukraine, as well as foreigners."

He claims that Ukranians and foreigners are asking Moscow to "rescue and evacuate them."

Moreover, Mizintsev reiterated the groundless claim that "fighters of the territorial defence battalions continued to hold over 4.5 million civilians hostage as 'human shields'".
