Russia is preparing the biggest fake ‘witness testimony’ in Mariupol that the city of Mariupol was destroyed by the Ukrainian military.

Details: Testimonies will be prepared in writing by the residents of Mariupol who remain in the city.

To carry out such an operation, the Russian occupiers announced the start of registration for compensation for destroyed housing and/or loss of a family member. The rate for housing is half a million rubles (approximately USD 6,000), and for a deceased family member - three million rubles. (approximately USD 33,000)

Registration of applications for compensation is carried out at the School №9 premises. However, when submitting a written statement, Mariupol residents are required to state that the property was "destroyed by the Ukrainian military" and that relatives were "killed by the Ukrainian army."

In the absence or denial of such a claim, Russian occupiers report that there will be no compensation. Due to the psychological pressure and the state of the information blockade, hopeful Mariupol residents are submitting applications with the required claim, Andryushchenko notes.

Quote: "As a result, Russia receives tens of thousands of written ‘testimonies’ about the ‘atrocities of the Ukrainian Army’. They would be used to influence international opinion, they would be given wide publicity through the [Russian-ed.] state propaganda media channels that continue to operate on the territory of the European Union."

In reality, implementing such compensation is not possible. Russia would have to spend at least USD $2.5 billion to fulfil these promises to Mariupol residents alone. In the current state of Russia's economy that is impossible."
