As of 2 May, the Russian Federation has lost nearly 23,800 personnel, 1,048 tanks, and 2,519 combat vehicles since the beginning of the war.

On 1 May Russian troops suffered the most dramatic losses on the Izium front.

The General Staff noted that: according to the algorithm of the list, the Russian boats destroyed by Ukrainian troops on the morning of 2 May will be accounted for in the 3 May report.
