Russia to use "extras" to stage support for its actions at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant for IAEA mission – Ukrainian intelligence

The Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine says that the Russian occupiers are preparing to use "extras" to stage support for their actions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission [which is expected to arrive to the power plant today - ed.].

Details: The Chief Intelligence Directorate reports that the ZNPP staff are suffering brutal repressions. The majority of the staff, whom the Russian occupiers did not consider "reliable" enough, have gone missing in recent days. Their location or fate remain unknown.

Ukrainian intelligence also reports that some of the ZNPP staff who for various reasons had agreed to co-operate with Russian occupiers, as well as specially prepared "extras", have been designated to stage total support for the occupiers’ actions on behalf of the local residents for the IAEA mission.

"Russian experts are currently working with them to make sure they know the script which will create the impression that the Kremlin wants to create," the intelligence report reads.

Quote: "In relation to this, we are urging the global community and all powerful international organisations and governments to facilitate the effective and objective operation of the IAEA mission at the ZNPP […]

The territory of the power plant must be urgently demilitarised. Immediately afterwards, a 10-kilometre safety zone and a transport corridor must be created to enable necessary equipment to be delivered to the ZNPP and [so that] relevant experts [can] access it."
