As of 21 September, all tickets for direct flights to the most popular destinations, including Yerevan and Istanbul, are sold out.

Quote: "There is one ticket left for each flight to the capitals of Armenia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

Prices for flights to Tbilisi and Baku have drastically increased. The shortest flights to Georgia cost approximately 120,000 roubles (almost US$2,000), to Azerbaijan - 248,000 roubles (almost US$4,000). There are no tickets left to Yerevan on Wednesday; the minimum price for a Thursday flight [to Yerevan] is 86,000 roubles (US$1,400)," the statement says.

It is also reported that the Google search inquiry "where to go from Russia"  has peaked in the Russian Google segment right after Putin’s and [Defence Minister Sergei] Shoigu’s speeches about the mobilisation. Residents of the borderline Belgorod Oblast are the most interested ones in this topic. "Rumours are spread around the social media that the Russian Railways company has stopped selling tickets unless a passenger provides a special document from a military commissariat. However, the support team of the company has denied it: "There are no limitations", the outlet adds.

Background:

Russians have purchased all the tickets for direct flights from Russia to Istanbul and Yerevan for 21 September, immediately after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech where he announced partial mobilisation of Russian citizens.
