Russian-occupied territory of Kherson closed for entry and exit – General Staff report

The Russian-occupied territory of Kherson Oblast has been closed for entry and exit.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian invaders carried out 9 missile strikes and 22 airstrikes, as well as over 90 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS). Russian attack drones were active in the vicinity of the village of Bilenke in Odesa Oblast.

More than 50 Ukrainian cities, towns and villages came under Russian fire, including Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Soledar, Avdiivka, Novopil, Zaporizhzhia, Marhanets, Musiivka, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol, Potomkyne, Osokorivka, Mykolaiv, Ochakiv and Bilenke.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia and Sivershchyna fronts. On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets using tank guns, mortars and artillery:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: areas in and around Baranivka, Udy, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Dvorichne, Kucherivka, Petropavlivka and Senkove;
  • On the Kramatorsk front: Staryi Karavan, Ozerne, Siversk, Spirne, Rozdolivka and Vesele;
  • On the Bakhmut front: Soledar, Bakhmutske, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Maiorsk and Yurivka;
  • On the Avdiivka front: Avdiivka, Vodiane, Opytne, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka;
  • On the Novopavlivka front:  Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, Pavlivka and Yehorivka;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front: Novopil, Novosilka and Vremivka;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces fired artillery and mortar-launched bombs on over 25 towns and villages in the vicinity of the line of contact, including Chervona Dolyna, Shyroke, Andriivka, Bilohirka, Ternovi Pody, Lymany and Myrne.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Soledar, Kurdiumivka, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Bakhmut, Pervomaiske and Kamianka.

The General Staff reports that the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) remains tense. The NPP staff refuse to collaborate with Russian forces and are attempting to flee the temporarily occupied territories [of Zaporizhzhia Oblast]. Meanwhile, the Russians closed the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast for entry and exit.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 7 Ural trucks in Kherson and destroyed 10 pieces of Russian military equipment and weapon systems and killed over 20 Russian soldiers in Melitopol. A Russian S-300 missile system and 5 other pieces of military equipment were destroyed, and over 50 Russian soldiers sustained injuries, in the vicinity of Tokmaky and Chernihivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Ukrainian aircraft carried out 28 airstrikes, striking over 20 areas of concentration of Russian military personnel and equipment and 7 anti-aircraft defence systems. Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 5 Russian command posts; 12 areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated; 2 anti-aircraft systems; 3 ammunition storage points; and 10 other crucial targets.
