Russia attacks Kharkiv downtown: kindergarten on fire, many wounded

On the afternoon of September 9, Russia launched new attacks on downtown Kharkiv, using multiple launch rocket systems. A local kindergarten, a school and a house of arts for children have been damaged. At least 10 people were wounded, including children.

According to preliminary reports, a kindergarten was damaged and a fire started at a gas station. The information about casualties is being ascertained".

Details: The air raid sirens were activated in Kharkiv Oblast.

Updated at 14:42: Terekhov reported that Russian projectiles hit private houses, and some of them ignited. The strikes also hit a house of arts for children, a school and a sports infrastructure facility. A kindergarten in the central part of Kharkiv is on fire.

Suspilne reports that several children have been injured in the centre of Kharkiv; they were taken away by an ambulance.

Update as of 14:55: Kharkiv Mayor reported that at least 10 people were injured in the attack, three of them are children.
