Ukraine’s Air Force emphasises that with the arrival of Western air defence systems, the rate of destruction of Russian missiles will increase considerably.

Details: Ihnat says that the massive Russian missile attack on critical infrastructure had two main goals – to damage Ukraine's energy system and break the morale of Ukrainians. However, the air defence forces of Ukraine worked perfectly, eliminating half of the Russian aerial targets.

The Air Force Commander and the Commander-in-Chief praised the work of Ukrainian anti-air gunners highly. The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces added that with the arrival of new air defence systems from Ukraine’s international partners, the rate of destruction of Russian missiles will go up even more.

Quote: "Panic in society is what the occupiers need today. It is obvious that the strike[s] were planned in advance; the targets were determined, [and] the flight routes of the missiles were laid. The Russians used high-precision missiles, which were difficult to evade, but we have some tactical techniques [to use against these].

In total, the enemy launched 83 missiles, not including the S-300. We are talking about Kalibrs, Kh-101 and Iskanders. We cannot shoot down Iskander-M because they are ballistic missiles. On the other hand, Iskander-K flies along a [certain] trajectory like a cruise missile.

Out of 43 missiles, slightly more than half were destroyed by our air defence system. Considering the resources we have in our arsenal today, this is an extremely high number".
