"Such obscurantism becomes a vivid manifestation of the real face of ‘Russkiy Mir’," says the Mariupol City Council. [‘Russkiy Mir’, literally ‘Russian world’ or ‘Russian peace’, is the concept of total domination of Russian culture over other cultures; it gives rise to and ‘legitimises’ Russia’s current expansionist, colonial politics - ed.]

To recall: Earlier, the Russian occupiers dismantled the Monument to Victims of Holodomor in Mariupol, erected in the centre of the city in 2004.
