Ukrainian flag officially raised in Kherson

The flag of Ukraine has been officially raised in liberated Kherson; President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the event.

Details: Yermak has posted a video on Instagram of the official raising of the national flag in liberated Kherson.

The event occurred during Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the city. The flag-raising ceremony was accompanied by the performance of the national anthem of Ukraine.

Together with the President, liberated Kherson was visited by Andrii Yermak; Kyrylo Tymoshenko and Roman Mashovets, Deputy Heads of the Office of the President of Ukraine; Yaroslav Yanushevych, Head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration; and individual ministers and deputy ministers.

Background: Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian President, was outraged by the arrival of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine’s President, in the city of Kherson, which has been liberated from the occupiers.
