The Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is going to boycott the organisation’s work after its Standing Committee could not change the rules in order to expel Russia.

This was reported by a member of the delegation, Yevheniia Kravchuk (of the Sluha Narodu [Servant of the People] party), as stated by European Pravda

"Today, the Standing Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly failed to change its rules in order to expel the Russian delegation.

As of today, we, the Ukrainian delegation, are boycotting the work in the OSCE PA until this international organisation can for its stance on the participation of Russians - propagandists and representatives of the terrorist state, the criminal state," Kravchuk posted on her Facebook account.

Representatives of Estonia and Lithuania left the meeting of the Standing Committee together with the Ukrainian delegates as a sign of protest.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had criticised the OSCE for insufficient efforts to make Russia stop its war against Ukraine. Zelenskyy pointed out that Russia is still a member of the OSCE PA even after nine months of constant crimes.

Poland, which is currently chairing the OSCE, refused to issue visas to the Russian delegation to attend the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly taking place in Poland on 24-26 November.
