Details: Answering a question from the press about the Netherlands' readiness to provide Ukraine with fighter jets, Rutte said that "nothing is beyond the realm of possibility to the extent that it helps to deter Russian aggression."

"But I would not talk about it further, because it may not help reach a productive solution, because there are so many participants in the negotiations," Rutte said.

At the same time, he expressed hope that the allies would be able to reach an agreement in this regard.

"We have seen before that we have reached decisions on self-propelled howitzers and tanks. This shows that cooperation and progress is possible... Let's hope that we can discuss this and resolve it the way we did with the tanks," Rutte said.

Background:

Ukraine officially requested F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands.

Rutte does not rule out any military support for Ukraine.
