Zelenskyy asks top military leaders about Bakhmut strategy during Staff of Supreme Commander-in-Chief meeting

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Monday, 6 March.

Details: The Office of the President said in a press release that commanders of the operational and strategic groups of troops reported to the president on the situation on the main fronts.

Particular attention was paid to the situation in Bakhmut.

President Zelenskyy asked Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces and Commander of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about further actions that will be undertaken on the Bakhmut front.

The Office of the President reported that both commanders spoke in favour of continuing the defence operation and further strengthening of Ukrainian positions in Bakhmut.

Meeting participants also discussed the supply of weapons and equipment and their allocation to different operational groups.
