Ukrainian forces destroy 23 more Russian artillery systems and 11 tanks

Russia has lost almost 500 more servicemen, 11 tanks, 12 armoured combat vehicles, 23 artillery systems and 1 multiple-launch rocket system in the war against Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 23 August 2023 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

  • approximately 258,820 (+480) military personnel, 
  • 4,373 (+11) tanks,
  • 8,488 (+12) armoured combat vehicles,
  • 5,318 (+23) artillery systems,
  • 722 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems,
  • 491 (+0) air defence systems,
  • 315 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft,
  • 316 (+0) helicopters,
  • 4,324 (+12) operational-tactical UAVs,
  • 1,406 (+0) cruise missiles,
  • 18 (+0) ships/boats,
  • 7,745 (+23) vehicles and tankers,
  • 800 (+3) special vehicles and other equipment.
