Details: The malefactor is the department director of one of the capital's insurance companies. He held personal meetings with the leaders of Kyiv energy generating companies under the pretext of concluding insurance contracts.

However, in reality, he used this as an excuse to learn from his clients as much information as possible about the facts and consequences of Russian attacks on power plants.

Quote: "The enemy agent transmitted through a mobile messenger all the received intelligence to his Moscow curator, a staff member of the Russian GRU [Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - ed.].

Intelligence information was needed to prepare and adjust repeated air strikes on energy companies of the capital for the heating season."

Details: Officers of the Ukraine’s Security Service detained the Russian agent at his place of residence in one of the villages of Kyiv Oblast. The malefactor faces life imprisonment for treason.
