Civilians injured in fire caused by oil pipeline breach in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) has reported that a breach in an oil pipeline in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast caused a fire. A private house caught fire and six civilians sustained injuries.

Details: The SES said that a 15-centimetre breach in an oil pipeline near the village of Strymba in the Nadvirna district of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast around 17:00 caused an oil spill that spread over 100 square metres and a fire.
A private residential house caught fire as a result.
Early reports indicated that three civilians were injured.
The pipeline has been shut off.
Later the SES reported that the fire was extinguished within an hour.
A total of six civilians, including two children, were injured and have been hospitalised.
The oil residues are currently being treated with a sorbent at the spill site.
