Ukrainian forces conduct offensive on Melitopol front and near Bakhmut – General Staff report

During the last 24 hours, the Defence Forces of Ukraine have been conducting an offensive operation on the Melitopol front, killing the Russian soldiers and liberating occupied territories step by step. They are also pushing the Russian forces south of Bakhmut.

Details: During the day, the Russians launched 10 missile attacks, 54 airstrikes and 31 attacks from multiple-launch rocket systems on the positions of the Ukrainian forces and settlements.

The operational situation in the south and east of Ukraine remains complicated. 26 combat encounters took place.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes to the operational situation.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians launched an airstrike near the settlement of Hraniv, Kharkiv Oblast. Over 25 settlements were attacked by mortars and artillery.

On the Kupiansk front, the Russians launched an airstrike near the settlements of Synkivka, Kotliarivka and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv Oblast. The settlements of Kolodiazne, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast were attacked by artillery and mortars.

On the Lyman front, the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks near the settlement of Novoyehorivka, Luhansk Oblast. The Russians launched airstrikes near the settlements of Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast. Over 10 settlements were subject to artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Bakhmut front, the Defence Forces repelled Russian attacks near the settlement of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk Oblast. The Russians launched airstrikes near the settlements of Khromove and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bila Hora, Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk Oblast, were under artillery and mortar attacks. In their turn, the Defence Forces had partial success as a result of storming actions to the south from the city of Bakhmut, pushing the Russians out of their positions and gaining a foothold in the positions they achieved.

On the Avdiivka front, the Defence Forces repelled Russian attacks near the settlement of Avdiivka. The Russians launched an airstrike near the settlement of Avdiivka. Over 15 settlements were attacked by artillery and mortars.

On the Marinka front, the Defence Forces continue to deter the Russian offensive near the settlement of Mariinka in Donetsk Oblast. The Russians launched an airstrike near the settlement of Krasnohorivka. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk Oblast were subject to artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians launched an airstrike near the settlement of Urozhaine. Over 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar attacks by the Russians.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russians launched airstrikes near the settlements of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Over 10 settlements were attacked by artillery and mortars.

On the Kherson front, the Russians launched an airstrike near the settlement of Olhivka. The city of Kherson and the settlement of Antonivka in Kherson Oblast were attacked by artillery and mortars.

During the day, the aircraft of the Defence Forces launched 12 attacks on the areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment and on the positions of anti-aircraft systems of the Russians.

Ukrainian Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck one ammunition storage, three artillery systems, two command posts, one anti-aircraft system and two areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the Russians.
