Israel attacks Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) attacked Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon on the night of 23-24 November.

Background:

• The Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated on 7 October, when Hamas attacked Israel with missiles.
• On 9 October, Israel announced that it had regained control of all areas on the border near the Gaza Strip. Israel was planning a ground offensive against Gaza that could last three months.
• On 28 October, the Israeli military entered the Gaza Strip after intense attacks with artillery and air-to-surface missiles.
