Parts of the wreckage from downed Russian missiles have fallen in districts of Kyiv, causing injuries and damage, although subsequent emergency and medical dispatches did not confirm some of the latter reports.

Updated: Later, Popko noted that windows had been broken in a residential building in Darnytskyi district, and there were casualties.

Klitschko said the information about smoke on the roof of a residential building in the Holosiivskyi district was not confirmed.

At 05:08, the Kyiv mayor clarified that, as a result of a Russian attack, missile wreckage had damaged an unfinished building in Darnytskyi District. The fire was promptly extinguished there.

More missile wreckage fell onto the lawn. No fire was recorded.

Klitschko emphasised that there were two people injured in Darnytskyi District, a man and a woman, at that time. Medics provided them with help at the scene. Emergency call-outs to Shevchenkivskyi District were not confirmed.

Klitschko announced at 05:31 that four people, all adults, were injured in Darnytskyi District as a result of a Russian missile attack. Medics provided them with help at the scene.

In addition, missile wreckage was found on the premises of a store warehouse in Darnytskyi District.

Klitschko said there was no fire or damage to the building.

At 05:54, Popko specified that two residents had been injured due to falling wreckage.

In particular, a 31-year-old man received a shrapnel injury to the lower limbs. Medics provided him with assistance at the scene.

In addition, medics provided three women who had an acute stress reaction with help at the scene.

According to the reports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, missile fragments fell in the Darnytskyi district of the city of Kyiv. At one of the impact sites, the fragments fell down on the open territory, on another one the windows of a private house were damaged by a blast wave; in yet another location a fence was damaged, windows were broken and four people were injured.

Darnytskyi District State Administration released a photo of the aftermath of the air defence operation after the attack in the Bortnychi residential area.

Background: An air-raid warning was issued in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast at 04:15 on 11 December, prior to which explosions had been heard in the capital.
