Three strikes by Iskander or Kinzhal missiles, gas explosion – Police on attack on Kharkiv – photo
The Russians have struck the city of Kharkiv with either Iskander or Kinzhal missiles: there were three strikes, one of the missiles hit a gas mains pipeline, which resulted in a serious explosion. At the moment six houses have been left without heat, two without water, and the gas supply is inconsistent.

Quote by Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Police: "Bomb disposal experts working at the scene have concluded that there were three strikes and a domestic gas explosion. This information might not be accurate.
As for the missile type, this was most likely an Iskander-K or a Kinzhal. These are Russia’s most expensive missiles which they decided to launch on a peaceful district."
Details: Tymoshko added that all emergency services, including police, medics and rescue workers, are continuing to work at the scene.
Tymoshko also remarked that the police will guard all residential and administrative buildings damaged in the attack 24/7, and at night as well.
"Warning – all instances of looting will be severely prosecuted under current legislation," Tymoshko added.
Ihor Terekhov, mayor of Kharkiv, reported that 41 residential buildings had been damaged, and 45 people injured, including 5 children. One person was killed.
Quote: "There was a very powerful gas explosion since one of the missiles destroyed a gas main. There was a gas leak and an explosion. As of now it has been contained. Heating was turned off in six residential buildings, two residential buildings were left without a water supply. But we hope that everything will resume by evening. As for the gas supply, there are some problems as there was a lot of damage, but gas services are working on it."

- One person has died and 45 people were injured in the city of Kharkiv. Three fires broke out in the city, a number of civilian facilities were destroyed, and warehouses and cars were ablaze.
- On the night and morning of 29 December, Russia carried out the largest-scale air strike on Ukraine to date. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities came under attack. More than 40 people were killed then.
