Explosions rocked Khmelnytskyi Oblast on the night of 5-6 January.

Details: Russian Shahed kamikaze drones have attacked Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

During the air raid, residents of the oblast heard explosions. 

This presumably was the sound of air defence systems responding to the attack. 

Updated at 01:45: Serhii Tiurin, First Deputy Head of Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration, confirmed that explosions had been heard in the oblast. He said that it was the air defence systems. There is no information on casualties.

Background

On the evening of 5 January, the Russian occupiers launched a new batch of Shahed kamikaze drones to attack Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Air Force said there was a ballistic missile threat.
