15 Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries carried out this year

A total of 15 Ukrainian drone attacks on 13 oil refineries across 9 Russian Federation regions have been carried out so far into 2024. Eight of the refineries were significantly damaged.

Details: The attacked plants have a production capacity of 178 million tonnes of oil products per year, but only 8 of the 13 refineries suffered significant damage, totaling 83 million tonnes per year.

Quote: "If we consider only the oil refining plants confirmed to have been damaged, the air strike campaign has so far affected only 46 million tonnes per year of refining capacity, which corresponds to 14% of the refinery's total capacity and 17% of the oil processed in 2023," the report said.
