Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has stressed that a solution must be found to prevent Russia from using fibre-optic FPV drones in 2025.

Quote: "We are winning the drone war. But the Russians have started using fibre-optic drones on a large scale. This is a huge problem for us because it is impossible to stop them with electronic warfare. This is the know-how and trend of this year. Next year, we will all work together to find a technological solution to deal with the huge number of such devices."

Details: Overall, Budanov believes that 2025 will be a better year for Ukraine than 2024, while Russia will have to make very difficult decisions.

Quote: "Last year, a journalist asked me what my expectations were for 2024. And I told them quite honestly that, unfortunately, 2024 would be a very difficult year.

I am much more optimistic about 2025. 2025 will undoubtedly be better than this year. There are objective circumstances for this, and I hope to witness a lot of positive developments in 2025. Which will finally deliver us what we've all been waiting for."

Details: In Budanov’s opinion, if Russia does not come to its senses by mid-2025, it will definitely have to make very difficult decisions about its financial and economic system.

"Are they ready for that? Maybe they are. Do they want to? 100% no. They will try to avoid it in every possible way and will do everything to prevent it," he said.
