Businessman killed while picking up Easter cakes as Russians strike bakery in Sumy – photos

A Russian Shahed drone has struck a bakery belonging to a baking and confectionery business in the city of Sumy, damaging the production of Easter cakes. A businessman who arrived to collect festive products has been killed in the strike.

Details: One of the bakery’s employees also sought medical treatment.


The State Emergency Service reported that the body of the person killed had been recovered from under the rubble.
A building forming part of a civilian infrastructure facility was partially destroyed.

The Prosecutor's Office in Sumy Oblast reported that the Russians had attacked a leading manufacturer of baking and confectionery products. A total of three Geran-2 UAVs were used.
"The enemy attack killed a 61-year-old driver who was loading products and injured a 55-year-old employee of the company. The bakery's premises and vehicles were damaged," the Prosecutor's Office said.
