Zelenskyy on Belarusian leader's proposal to meet: "He and Putin are two old men talking about something"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he finds it challenging to respond to a meeting proposal from self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, describing him as someone who "lives in his own world".

Quote: "It's hard for me to react to what Lukashenko says, to be honest. He lives in his own world – he built it, isolated himself and has lived there for three decades. Sometimes, Putin visits him in that world. They talk about something – two old men. So it's hard to comment on anything."
Details: Zelenskyy also urged Lukashenko to remember that Belarus, his "home", is an independent nation, not his private possession.
Background: On 26 September, after talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Lukashenko announced that he wants to discuss "ending the war in Ukraine" with Zelenskyy.
