Details: Investigators reported that Russian forces had used guided aerial bombs and ballistic missiles to carry out a combined attack on Kharkiv and its suburbs on the night of 30 September-1 October. Several facilities were damaged.
A residential building was destroyed and more than 10 houses were damaged in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. Over 35 garage units and vehicles were also affected, and fires broke out due to the strikes.
A market was hit in the Kyivskyi city district. Retail units near the Barabashova metro station caught fire over an area exceeding 2,800 sq m. Eight people had been injured and the metro entrance had been damaged, the mayor reported.
In the city, eight people were injured, including one woman and four men, one of whom is a police officer. Three other women had suffered acute stress reactions, the prosecutor's office said.
Quote from Terekhov: "Municipal and emergency services worked throughout the night. Firefighters, energy workers, the water utility, Shliakhrembud [a state-run road repairs company – ed.], Misksvitlo [a state-run electricity management company – ed.], the metro, and gas services – dozens of people have immediately taken to work to contain the fires and restore electricity and water.
This night was again difficult for Kharkiv. But despite the strikes and destruction, the city stands strong and continues to live."
