Russia attacks Ukraine with ballistic missiles and 60 drones overnight: missile strikes recorded, 38 UAVs downed

Russian forces launched three ballistic missiles and 60 attack drones of various types against Ukraine on the night of 19-20 October. Ukraine's air defence has destroyed 38 Russian UAVs.

Details: Starting at 19:00 on 19 October, the Russians attacked with 3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from temporarily occupied Crimea and 60 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types launched from the Russian cities of Millerovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.

According to the Air Force, around 40 of the drones were Shahed attack UAVs.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, air defence had destroyed or jammed 38 Russian drones over Ukraine's north, south and east.

Strikes from 3 ballistic missiles and 20 attack drones were recorded in 12 locations.
