Ukraine's Air Force downs 92 Russian drones overnight, attack still ongoing

Russian forces have launched 130 strike drones against Ukraine since the evening of 22 October, including Shahed, Gerbera and other types. Ukrainian air defence have destroyed or jammed 92 of these drones, though some strikes were recorded.

Quote: "As of 08:30, air defence forces have destroyed or jammed 92 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over Ukraine's north and east. Strikes from 25 drones were confirmed across 11 locations, with debris falling on another 11."

Details: The Russians launched UAVs from the Russian cities of Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea. About 80 of the 130 drones were Shahed-type strike UAVs.

The attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.

As of this morning, the Russian attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still detected in Ukrainian airspace.
