Details: An air-raid warning was issued in Sevastopol at 00:47 local time, according to Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Kremlin-appointed "governor" of Sevastopol. Earlier, Russian monitoring channels had posted information about a potential UAV threat.
Local residents began reporting loud explosions soon after. In particular, Krymskyi Veter wrote that the explosions had occurred near Pivdenna bay, where Russian Black Sea Fleet facilities are located, and near the Belbek air base.
Razvozhayev explained that the sounds heard were the work of Russian air defence. He claimed that seven aerial assets had been downed.
In addition to Sevastopol, reports of explosions came from other parts of the peninsula. According to Krymskyi Veter followers, blasts were also heard near Kirovske, located close by a Russian air base.
It is worth noting that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 14th Separate UAV Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces reported strikes on facilities at this air base the previous night.
Russian authorities and military officials have not commented on either the previous or current incidents near Kirovske.
