Ukrainian air defence downs 133 Russian drones overnight; strikes recorded at 10 locations

Russia attacked Ukraine with 153 drones on the night of 14-15 December. Air defence forces have shot down 133 Russian UAVs, while strikes have been recorded at 10 locations.

Details: From 18:00 on Sunday, the Russians launched Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo and Shatalovo, as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the Air Force of Ukraine, around 90 of the drones were Shahed attack UAVs.

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the defence forces.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, air defence had shot down or suppressed 133 Russian UAVs in Ukraine's north, south and east.

A total of 17 drones hit their targets at 10 locations.
