Ukrainian air defence downs 58 Russian drones overnight; strikes recorded at 12 locations
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 86 strike UAVs on the night of 21-22 December, with Ukraine's air defence shooting down 58 drones. Hits have been recorded at 12 locations.

Details: From 19:00 on Sunday 21 December, the Russians attacked using Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast and from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The Air Force reported that more than 50 of the drones were Shahed attack UAVs.
As of 08:30, air defence units had shot down or jammed 58 Russian UAVs of various types in Ukraine's north, south and east.
Strikes by 26 attack drones were recorded at 12 locations, along with the fall of debris from intercepted drones at one location.
