US$700-800bn for Ukraine's recovery is discussed with US, Zelenskyy says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that a major section of the "peace plan" being discussed with the United States covers Ukraine's recovery and envisages attracting US$700-800 billion.

Details: Zelenskyy said that work is ongoing to develop a "roadmap for Ukraine's prosperity" through to 2040 that would reflect a shared vision between Ukraine and the United States.
Quote: "The main aspects and directions there are our national goals. They include life expectancy, the return of refugees, GDP per capita, new jobs. It also includes security guarantees, access to markets and joining the European Union. We have goals and strategies for macroeconomic stability…
We estimate that we need about US$700-800 billion for recovery. There is a strategy for a larger amount but I don't want to talk about it in more detail for now."
More details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine and the United States are discussing setting up several funds to implement these plans.
Quote: "There will be a Ukraine Recovery Fund, a Ukraine Sovereign Investment Platform, a Ukraine Development Fund, a Ukraine Growth and Opportunities Fund. We also plan to have a US-Ukraine reconstruction investment fund. Working groups are also discussing a Human Capital Fund and support for returns."
