Burnt cars and damaged buildings: authorities shows aftermath of Russian attack on Dnipro – photos

Vladyslav Haivanenko, acting head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, has posted photos showing the aftermath of a Russian drone strike on the city of Dnipro on the evening of 6 January, which left five adults and two children injured.

Quote: "Seven people were injured in a large-scale overnight drone attack on Dnipro, including two children. An eight-year-old girl will recover at home, while a 16-year-old girl has been taken to hospital in a moderate condition."

Details: Fires broke out in the city and several high-rise residential buildings, a house, office buildings, cars, infrastructure facilities and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Russian forces also attacked the Vasylkivka hromada in the Synelnykove district with drones. A house caught fire there. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

The city of Nikopol was shelled using artillery.

Haivanenko said that air defence forces had downed 27 Russian drones over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
