Police officers from the Bilyi Yanhol (White Angel) special unit have been injured as a result of a Russian drone strike on a civilian evacuation vehicle in Ukraine's Sumy Oblast.

Quote: "An enemy drone has attacked a vehicle belonging to the White Angel police special unit as it was evacuating people from the border areas of the Shostka district."

Details: The vehicle sustained significant damage, but as it was armoured, the evacuees were not injured, although they experienced severe stress.

"The police officers sustained minor injuries and are currently undergoing medical examinations," Hryhorov said.

He added that the evacuation had been successfully completed and the people had been taken to a safer location.

"I once again stress that the earlier people decide to evacuate from border areas, the safer it is both for them and for those who travel there every day despite the constant danger," Hryhorov concluded.
