Quote from Demchenko: "On this front, the enemy had periodically been probing our defences using small groups that appeared along the border. This time, the enemy decided to launch a large-scale attack on the positions of border guard units, but the attempt to breach the border was repelled."
Details: It is reported that over the past several days, Russian occupying forces had been trying to break through the positions of the Hart Brigade, which is defending the state border of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast.
Russian infantry groups, supported by artillery and UAVs, attempted to seize forward positions and advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. Clearly, the Russians has not abandoned its aggressive intentions and is seeking directions in which to expand areas of active hostilities.
Border guards noted that Russian movement and the build-up of forces for attacks were detected in time by aerial reconnaissance, after which their infantry was engaged in a comprehensive manner using all available firepower.
"The occupiers' attempt to breach the state border was blocked. The enemy achieved no success and retreated. As of now, 21 occupiers have been killed and another 11 wounded during the defensive battle," the State Border Guard Service concluded.
