A Russian drone has struck a residential high-rise building in Odesa Oblast, while an energy infrastructure facility has also been damaged in the attack.

Quote: "At dawn, the enemy once again cynically attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa Oblast. The strikes targeted residential areas and energy facilities. In the city of Chornomorsk, a UAV hit a multi-storey residential building. The façade and glazing were damaged."

Details: In the Odesa district, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of the Russian strike.

Early reports indicated that there had been no casualties.

"Emergency and municipal services are working at the scene," Kiper said.

Background:

  • On the night of 19-20 January, Russian forces attacked Kyiv, leaving one person injured. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, non-residential buildings were hit in the Dniprovskyi district.
  • As a result of the Russian attack, 5,635 multi-storey residential buildings in Kyiv were left without heating. The city's left (eastern) bank was also left without water supply.
  • In Kyiv Oblast, a man was killed and buildings at two petrol stations were damaged in a Russian strike on the night of 19-20 January.
