Zelenskyy has approved delegates for peace talks with US and Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved a delegation to take part in peace talks with the United States and Russia. The group is led by Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Details: The decree states that the delegation is approved "to take part in the negotiation process with the United States of America and other international partners of Ukraine as well as with representatives of the Russian Federation to achieve a just and lasting peace".
The delegation includes Rustem Umierov as head of delegation, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Davyd Arakhamiia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, Oleksandr Bevz, adviser to the President's Cabinet at the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), Serhii Kyslytsia, First Deputy to Head of Ukrainian President's Office, Yevhenii Ostrianskyi, NSDC's First Deputy Secretary, Oleksandr Poklad, First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Head of DIU
Background:
- Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that trilateral talks are to take place between Ukraine, the US and Russia on Friday and Saturday in the United Arab Emirates.
