Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said that Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is overstating his ability to block Ukraine's European future after Orbán vowed to keep Ukraine out of the EU for 100 years.

Details: Sybiha was responding to Orbán's claims that the European Commission has a "secret plan" to support Ukraine and its EU accession, and his assertion that no Hungarian parliament over the next hundred years would ever vote for Ukraine's membership of the EU.

Quote: "This plan is doomed to fail, Mr Prime Minister. Your master in Moscow won't last 100 years even if you were ready to donate him all your organs. And on the day Ukraine joins the EU, we will frame this headline in the Ukrainian parliament to remember your lies for the next 100 years."

Background: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has said the EU and the United States are close to an agreement on a "prosperity plan" for Ukraine based on five pillars: productivity, Ukraine's integration into the EU market, investment, strengthening donor coordination and reforms.
