Zelenskyy gives instructions to delegation ahead of talks with Russia and US in Abu Dhabi

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a coordination meeting with the Ukrainian delegation ahead of a new round of trilateral talks with the United States and Russia, which are scheduled for 4 and 5 February in Abu Dhabi.

Details: Zelenskyy said he has approved the framework for the team to follow in the talks and outlined specific tasks for the upcoming meetings.
Almost all members of the negotiating team attended the meeting, namely Rustem Umierov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council; Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office; Budanov's First Deputy Serhii Kyslytsia; Andrii Hnatov, Chief of the General Staff, and Oleksandr Bevz, adviser to the head of the President's Office. Davyd Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, will also take part in the negotiations.
Bilateral meetings with the US side will be a separate item on the agenda.
Quote: "Ukraine is ready for real steps. We believe it is realistic to achieve a dignified and lasting peace. We consider the bilateral security guarantees document with the United States to be complete, and we anticipate further substantive work on documents related to recovery and economic development."
Details: Zelenskyy said he hopes the US side will continue to act decisively to ensure the necessary conditions for dialogue.
"The de-escalation measures that went into effect on the night of last Thursday to Friday are helping to build public trust in the negotiation process and its possible outcome. The war needs to be ended," the president added.
