Ukrainian air defence downs 88 out of 105 drones launched by Russia overnight

Russia has attacked Ukraine with 105 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types since the evening of 3 February. Ukrainian air defences have managed to down 88 drones, although some locations have been hit. The attack is still ongoing.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 88 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east. Hits by 17 UAVs had been recorded at 14 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 5 locations."
Details: The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Oryol, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Cape Chauda, Crimea.
About 70 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 08:00, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
