Russian forces attacked the city of Odesa with drones on the night of 8-9 February, killing one person and injuring two, causing fires and damaging residential infrastructure.

Details: The Air Force reported Russian drones moving over the Black Sea towards Odesa shortly after midnight.

Kiper and Lysak urged residents of Odesa and the Odesa district to stay in shelters.

Lysak said it was "loud in the city".

Local media outlets and Telegram channels reported the sound of explosions and air defence response in Odesa.

Update: Kiper and Lysak reported on the aftermath of the Russian drone attack on Odesa after 01:00.

Quote from Kiper: "The enemy conducted a large-scale attack on Odesa Oblast using drones.

Early reports indicated damage to residential infrastructure and several fires in the city of Odesa. Information about casualties is being confirmed."

Quote from Lysak: "Residential buildings and utility networks were damaged in the attack.

In particular, a fire broke out on the roof of a high-rise residential building, a gas pipeline was damaged and fires were recorded involving passenger cars and a non-residential building."

Update: Lysak reported in the morning that a 35-year-old man had been killed in a Russian attack on Odesa. Two people were injured, including a 19-year-old woman.

Quote from Lysak: "Damage to civilian infrastructure has been recorded in the Prymorskyi district. Early reports indicated that 21 apartments in residential buildings had been affected. The blast wave shattered 39 windows inside apartments and another 18 in communal areas. Two cars were destroyed by fire and six were damaged by debris."
