Two killed and nine injured, including children, in Russian attacks on Sumy Oblast

Two people have been killed and nine injured, including four children, in Russian strikes on Sumy Oblast over the past day.

Details: A 61-year-old man was killed by a drone strike in the Krasnopillia hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

A 72-year-old man was killed and a 16-year-old boy and girl, two men aged 19 and 50 and a 48-year-old woman were injured in the Seredyna-Buda hromada.

A Russian strike on a house injured a 12-year-old girl in the Sumy hromada, while a nine-year-old boy suffered an acute stress reaction.

A 60-year-old man was injured by a munition dropped from a drone in the Velyka Pysarivka hromada.

A 74-year-old woman was injured in a Russian drone strike on the Myropillia hromada.

Russian forces conducted 70 attacks on 22 settlements in 16 hromadas of the oblast over the past day. Houses were destroyed or damaged, infrastructure facilities and outbuildings were hit and cars were affected.

Background: A Russian drone struck a car in the Krasnopillia hromada on 10 February, killing the driver.
