Major military pledges for Ukraine expected at Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting, minister says

Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has announced that new major military pledges will be made for Kyiv at the upcoming meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein format).

Quote: "During meetings with European Defence and Space Commissioner Andrius Kubilius and EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, we focused on ways to maximise the effective use of funds from the EU loan."

Details: Fedorov also said he had met with European defence ministers to discuss new contributions to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme for procuring critical air defence systems, financing Ukrainian drones and missiles, developing joint defence projects and cooperation in the defence industry.

He said one of Ukraine's goals is to build win-win relations with partners.
