President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with envoys of President Trump Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on the evening of 14 February, ahead of trilateral talks in Geneva.

Background:
- In his evening address on 12 February, Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian side is prepared for another meeting with the Russian delegation to resolve Moscow's war against Ukraine.
- According to a communiqué on the outcome of the trilateral talks held in Abu Dhabi on 4-5 February, the US, Ukrainian and Russian delegations discussed methods for implementing a ceasefire and monitoring the cessation of hostilities.
- Following the Abu Dhabi talks, the US and Russia agreed to resume high-level military dialogue.
- Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed that the next round of negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the United States will take place on 17-18 February in Geneva.
