The unit was firing towards Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast when a thermal trace from its recent activity was detected. After refining the coordinates and tracking the target, the brigade's operators carried out three strikes.

For reference: The Koksan is a North Korean-made 170mm long-range self-propelled artillery unit. A number of these artillery systems were transferred by Pyongyang to Russian forces as external military aid to replace lost artillery.
