Russian forces conducted a strike on the city of Odesa on the night of 16-17 February, causing damage to civilian infrastructure and injuring three people.

Quote: "The enemy attacked Odesa. An infrastructure facility and civilian buildings were damaged in the strike. A fire broke out on the upper floors of a residential building in one district. A shop and a car service station were damaged in another. Two people are known to have been injured."

Details: Lysak said that all the appropriate services are working at the scenes.

Update: Lysak reported in the morning that three people had been injured, one of them in a critical condition.

"Three people are known to have been injured in the overnight attack, (including two) men aged 62 and 65. One of them is in a critical condition, the other is in a moderate condition. Both have been hospitalised. A woman has received medical treatment at the scene," he said.

Kiper reported later that some civilian and energy infrastructure facilities had been damaged in Odesa.

"A drone has hit an apartment on the upper floors of an apartment building in Odesa. Separately, strikes on storage facilities and a car service station have been recorded – two cars have been destroyed by fire. Another drone has fallen near a house, damaging the façade and windows, while another has fallen on the premises of a garage cooperative, damaging seven garages and two cars," Kiper wrote.

He said all fires had been extinguished by the morning.

Background: On the night of 16-17 February, explosions were heard in Odesa and in Dnipro while an air-raid warning, issued because of the threat of Russian attack drones, was in place.
