Poland's state-owned energy company Orlen has said it plans to deliver more than 1 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Ukraine in 2026.

Details: Fąfara said supplies to Ukraine would rise from about 0.7 billion cubic metres in 2025, meaning the company expects their exports to increase by more than last year's 40%.

Deliveries are made under commercial contracts between Orlen and Ukrainian counterparties, primarily Naftogaz, Ukraine's largest national oil and gas company.

In 2025, part of the volume was supplied to cover peak needs during periods of higher demand after Ukrainian production fell following Russian attacks.

Background: The Naftogaz Group and Orlen signed an agreement finalising arrangements to supply 300 million cubic metres of US liquefied natural gas to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026.
